Lotstreamingistheprocessofsplittingagivenlotorjobtoallowtheoverlappingofsuccessiveoperationsinmulti-stageproductionsystems,therebyreducingthemakespanofthecorrespondingschedule.Mostoftheresearchersinthisareaconcentratedonconsistentsublotmodels.However,themakespanmayincreaseundertheconstraintofconsistentsublots.Recently,variablesublotmodelshavereceivedalotofattentions.Inthisresearch,wedevelopaheuristicvariablesublotprocedure(model).Thisproceduredeterminesmachines,onwhichtransfersublotsizesarereallocated,andtransfersublotsizesforeachmachineaccordingtomachineprocessingtimesintheflowshop.Theproposedprocedureistestedandevaluatedviasimulation.Severalfactors,suchasnumberofsublots,numberofmachine,processingtime,andtheratioof(numberofdominantmachines/numberofmachines),areconsideredindifferentlotstreamingmodels(equalsublots,consistentsublots,andvariablesublots).Theresultsshowthevariablesublotmodeloutperformsconsistentsublotandequalsublotmodels.Whenthenumberofsublots,numberofmachines,andprocessingtimeincrease,correspondingpercentageofimprovementfordifferentlotstreamingmodelsincreases.Inaddition,thevariablesublotmodelismoresensitivetotheratiofactorthanconsistentandequalsublotmodels. |
