摘要FromMay2002toJuly2002,IhavetheopportunityofvisitingthelaboratoryledbyDr.ShihChu-ChehattheCityofHopeNationalMedicalCenterinCalifornia,USAtolearnsomebasicsofstemcells.Sincethemainfocuswastheinvestigationofthepotentialofhumanneurostemcells,Iwasworkingonconcentrationofpseudotypedvirusandtheirproduction;theabilityofhumanneurostemcellsdevelopedintopancreas-likecellsandinvivomodelofhumanpancreas/livertransplantation.Throughthesework,Ifeltthatinvivomodelmightbeaquickwaybeforelargescaleofclinicaltrialstoestimatetheriskandbenefitofpotentstemcells.Identifycertaingenesandmolecularlevelsinthepotentstemcellsmightbecriticaltothegeneshiftresponsibleforthetrnasdifferentiation.Genetransfermightalsobehelpfulinstemcellresearchintracingitsfrequency.Finally,cooperationisalsoimportantamongeachteamandisprobablytheonlykeyelementtosuccessfulresearchinalimitedperiodoftime. |
